The sea has always been a very important part of the Greenlandic identity. In myths and legends the sea was a massive ancient power, and has also secured the primary source of food until today, where non-competitive fishing is the primary source of income in Greenland.
You haven’t experienced Greenland before you have seen the country from the seaside. On the Sea Safari you will get exactly that, as well as a taste of life at sea.
We will sail through the archipelago and into the fjords around Sisimiut where we will enjoy the fantastic views of the countryside and Mount Nasaasaaq. If we are lucky, we may see seals and whales. During the winter season we have the opportunity to sail near the edge of the sea ice and spot the northern lights. Especially during the summer period, you can see the special glow provided by the midnight sun.
